Full-time students of the Digital Leadership Programme achieve 4 qualifications during their studies.
Digital Leadership Programme – the core qualification focus of the two year course is the brand-new Digital Leadership Programme qualification, awarded at level 6* (degree equivalent).
You can also see the detailed full-time syllabus, that includes the topics covered in detail, how you’ll be taught and learn, how you’ll be assessed, the knowledge and understanding you will gain and the professional skills you will gain.
Students will spend 50% of their time working on real-world projects. In year one of the course these projects are provided by global brands, and in year two project time is split between students’ own projects and industry projects. Students are guided and assisted in the delivery of both industry and individual projects by the core DLP team, who are experienced industry practitioners. This practical project work means that students leave with both qualifications and an enviable list of brands that they have worked with, giving them real-world experience.
The digital Leadership Programme is very much focussed on ‘active learning’ and students will learn in a wide variety of ways. This includes all of the following:
Study time is split between these forms of active learning and working on live projects to complete tasks for real-world business. Global brands and good causes provide projects that students can work on, with the assistance of the core programme team of industry practitioners. Students will be closely assisted while they carry on the tasks and get constant feedback on improving and developing their skills. Students are also able to get experience within organisations on short-work placements, workplace tours and lectures/workshops delivered in different locations. Currently, these placements are planned for Jersey, UK and the US.
The Digital Leadership Programme’s commitment to active learning also means that we don’t think that exams are a good indication of learning. Students are accessed based on project work and assignments, either based directly on real-world projects or on assignments created to simulate real-world scenarios as closely as possible.
The Digital Leadership Programme entry requirements are not based on qualifications, but rather on aptitude and attitude. We are looking for passionate, driven, motivated, curious and creative individuals that want to create a fantastic career for themselves and help shape the future. Government of Jersey funding may be available to Jersey residents for the course, and this is subject to the normal rules for funding for Higher Education courses (which includes a minimum entry requirement).
The full time Digital Leadership Programme cost £9250 per year of study.
